New Erg Room is Longtime Investment for the Huskies

The impressive amount of funds raised during last years Ignite Fundraising Campaign went directly to purchasing new rowing machines, ergometers, for the team. The addition of these ergs for winter training will translate directly into speed on the water and will pay dividends as soon as this Spring 2019 season.

This is a massive step forward for UConn Crew. Only last year did the team acquire a space to permanently store ergs through the winter season, and up until now there was a limited number of machines for small groups to train on. With the addition of 24 more rowing machines to the fleet, the team will be able to handle its expanding capacity and remain competitive with other collegiate teams in the region and nation-wide.
