Newly Renovated UConn Men's Crew Boathouse
In celebration of what would have been our annual fall season boathouse opening, UConn Men’s Crew is excited to show off our newly renovated boathouse! The impressive amount of funding raised during the 2020 Ignite Fundraising Campaign went directly to this project, and will pay dividends in future efficiency, organization, and safety.
After years of boathouse flooding, the Men’s Crew team will now have dry equipment and floors year round. The old garage door in the back of the boathouse has been closed up in favor of a new door installed in the front - providing our team with effortless access to the water, as well as a beautiful view of Coventry Lake. The middle wall was also removed to create space, allowing for easier boat storage inside. We are planning on replacing the indoor wooden boat racks with metal rolling racks similar to those currently in use outside, (more on this to come).
